PocketDay for Blackberry updated

PdtodayThe most-used application on my Blackberry is PocketDay.  It is an integrated window into my PIM data, email and other information that I configure PocketDay to show me at a glance.  The folks behind PocketDay just let me know that the program has been updated to version 5.4 and they have put a lot of effort into this improvement.  There are some majar additions to PocketDay like HTML email support which is huge.  Here’s the complete list of features in this new version:

  • Shrunk the Weather section when collapsed
  • BlackBerry Bold support
  • Added support for multiple calendars on OS 4.6+
  • Added VoiceMail indicator support for Voicemail services like youmail.com, phonetag.com, etc.
  • Added a new System Status section!
  • Added support for HTML email (OS 4.5+)
  • Added support for WiFi status (OS 4.3+)
  • New Speed Keys (formerly SpeedDial) Allows you to map a key to a person to either Call them (speeddial), Email them or Text them!
  • Added the ability to use Native Blackberry Day/Week/Month calendar views instead of PocketDay’s
  • New Screen Setup function to set the screen order and set colors.
  • Added the ability to use the Native Blackberry Keylock function instead of PocketDay’s.
  • Added many new RSS feeds (they are all dynamically fetched from our servers now)
  • Corrected issues with the keymap screen not showing all installed blackberry applications to select from
  • Contact selection (speeddial, calendar, tasks – OS 4.3+) can now choose any contact regardless of whether they have an email address
  • Added a HotKey for Stock Refreshing

The best news of all is the upgrade is free to existing PocketDay users, just go to this OTA link and grab it.  Those of you who are not using PocketDay on your Blackberry I recommend you go take a look and see what you’re missing.
