Earlier in the year I picked up a Lapworks notebook stand for the home office. Although it’s light and it folds up, I rarely take it along when traveling. The $40 Cricket Laptop Stand looks more my style for the gear bag, simply because of the minimalist design. It holds up to twelve-pounds of notebook, which is probably more than I can carry without straining myself. Plus the legs fold in making it small enough to throw in a front bag pocket. The two-leg approach leaves plenty of space to cool off the bottom of a laptop as well.
