Industry Moves: Morgan Steps Up To DMGT Helm

A planned coronation – Martin Morgan, CEO of DMGT’s B2B unit, today steps up to lead the whole of the Daily Mail (LSE: DMGT) publisher, taking over from retiring Charles Sinclair. DMG Information is where all DMGT’s momentum is nowadays, growing faster then the receding Associated and Northcliffe news publishing units thanks to an operations portfolio including energy info provider Genscape and geospatial info provider Landmark.

But it’s in the consumer-facing news publishing area Morgan will need to prove he can whether the storm – regional income was down five percent in Q2 and, though, national income actually rose slightly, that was thanks to online ad sales that are now slowing. Suresh Kavan was picked from Thomson Reuters (NASDAQ: TRIN) to replace Morgan at DMG Information. Release.
