Atlanta-based Whoop has raised $2 million in angel funding and has launched a new web-based platform for creating mobile content. The Whoop Engine is a publishing hub where subscribers can create and share mobile applications, websites and text while the Whoop Agent will optimize that content for mobile devices. The company is rolling out a limited number of subscriptions to companies, marketing agencies and publishers, but plans to launch to everyone next month. The capital was raised from a handful of angel investors, who have held senior executive positions or served on the boards of Accenture, Shearson, Dominos Pizza, MySpace, Procter & Gamble and *WebMD*. Release.
