Just in time for Android, Google (NSDQ: GOOG) said today it has upgraded its Google maps mobile application to include “street view,” walking directions and business reviews. Now people can search for a business nearby, and see a street view, which gives you an idea of how things look when walking down the street. The newest features will be available for BlackBerry devices and most Java devices, and in markets where Street View, walking directions, and reviews are currently available on the desktop. To check it out go to google.com/gmm. In addition, Google also launched improved location estimates. On Google Maps, a blue circle would show your rough location based on the nearest cell towers. They say they’ve been able to pinpoint the location more accurately. Both announcements were made on Google’s mobile blog.
