Speaking of Nokia’s (NYSE: NOK) software business, the Finnish handset maker says it plans to integrate certain content delivery services into a single offering. The release is a little vague on which services will be affected, but it notes that its plans “concern approximately 200 employees — approximately half in Finland – working in the Services and Software unit.” However it says it will hire more people into the Software and Services unit than the number of folks who will be affected, thus it believes many of the affected employees can be re-hired or relocated within the company. Despite the changes, Nokia will continue to focus on key internet services like music, games, messaging and location based services. Release.
