Answers.com (NSDQ: ANSW) announced Q2 revenue of $3 million, an increase of 7 percent from $2.81 million in the year-ago quarter. The company’s two biz units are going in opposite directions. The original Answers.com business continues to sour, with revenue falling 19 percent to $1.48 million. Conversely the WikiAnswers business continues to grow at a strong clip, growing 27 percent from a year ago to $1.5 million, now making it the largest business at the company. For the quarter, the company lost $4.6 million, although this included a $3.1 million writeoff. Adjusted EBITDA was negative $670 million. For the coming quarter, Answers sees a sequential decline in revenue to $2.75-$2.90 million.
