Earnings: Sify Revenue Up 7 Percent; Consumer Segment Declines

Sify Technologies announced quarterly revenue of $35 million, a 7 percent increase from $32.7 million in the year-ago quarter. The growth came entirely from the enterprise side of things, as consumer-revenue dipped 22 percent to $8.72 million. Net loss expanded to $2.39 million from $1.09 million, however the quarter included $440,000 in legal fees and $700,000 in network upgrade costs. The company said its consumer presence has been expanded into 28 new cities in the quarter, and that a refresh of its portal lead to a “significant” increase in visitors, though it didn’t break out any numbers.

Broadband subscribes dipped slightly year over year, to 207,000 from 208,000. ARPU also fell to $316 to $336.
