Industry Moves: SonyBMG Adds Digi EVP, BBC Archive Director

SonyBMG: Another SonyBMG senior digital appointment, and another from the mobile space, right on the heels of ex-Vodafoner Graeme Ferguson’s addition as UK digital SVP – former Fox Mobile Entertainment strategy SVP Michael Paull has been named EVP, global digital business, reporting to Thomas Hesse, president of the global business and sales, Variety reports. Paull’s CV includes stints at Sony (NYSE: SNE) Pictures, Time Warner (NYSE: TWX) and Artisan Entertainment.

BBC Archive: The BBC has moved BBC Two controller Roly Keating to be its first director of archive content, working with newly promoted Erik Huggers to make its wealth of content available digitally. Ashley Highfield had already begun the large task of introducing all-digital production processes to ensure easy distribution to multiple VOD platforms for all new shows, now Keating will unlock archive material in the same way.
