Apparently the world did need another how-to video site. The latest is Graspr, which has raised a $2.5 million first round from DFJ and various angels. The Mountain View, CA-based company allows independent how-to video developers to upload, distribute and share in revenue for their works. It also offers rev-share to members that distribute videos, such as blog embeds, which sets it apart from the pack a bit. The list of players in the how-to space is getting too long to list, though each claims it’s got something unique. The site launched in September of last year, and since then it claims to have amassed a collection of 20,000 videos. Release.
