Virgin Mobile USA (NYSE: VM) is rolling out an unlimited calling plan for $79.99 a month. The MVNO joins Sprint (NYSE: S), T-Mobile, AT&T (NYSE: T) and Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ), all of which have launched similar plans earlier this year. AP reports that the MVNO is looking to the plan to boost sales, as it expects to lose subscribers in the first quarter. After Verizon and AT&T introduced similar plans in February, they found that more lower paying customers take up the unlimited plans, than downgrade from more expensive tariffs. As of the end of March, Virgin has 5.1 million customers.
