Mobile Content Bits: Mobile Coupons On Yahoo And In The Mail; Go2 Animates; AFP Goes Mobile

— Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) Adds Mobile Coupons: Mountain View, Calif.-based Coupons said today it’s working with Yahoo! to enable consumers to discover and redeem coupons from their phones. Coupons will make its mobile platform immediately available to all the brands in Yahoo’s network. Release.

–Direct Marketer Adds Mobile Access: Money Mailer, a direct marketing company, said it is linking up with Cellfire to deliver mobile coupons in conjunction with its traditional advertising program for local businesses. The program, called Money Mailer Mobile, will first launch in select stores this summer in Austin, Baltimore and Suburban Maryland, Northern and Central New Jersey, Orange County, San Diego and San Jose. Consumers who receive a money mailer coupon in the mail will be able to send a text message to receive a text message back with a coupon code for an identical offer that was in the direct mail piece. That way consumers don’t need the physical coupon, but can redeem the offer by showing the message to the local advertiser. Release.

— Animated WAP Ads: go2 Media said it has launched an animated WAP banner ads, which are a series of images and text running on a 10-to-15 second long loop and can run on a number of carriers and devices. Current advertisers using the banners include Best Buy and the Navy. Release.

— AFP Goes Mobile: Contec Innovations said that Agence France-Presse (AFP), a global news agency, will work with the BUZmob Mobile Media Network to expand the availability of its content to mobile audiences worldwide. As a content provider in BUZmob, AFP’s global and multi-lingual news is now available as licensable mobile content channels to mobile operators and service providers. Release.
