As Nokia (NYSE: NOK) builds its services strategy, including the Ovi portal, it’s also working diligently on how to monetize it through advertising. Nokia announced today the launch of the Nokia Advertising Alliance, which they said is designed to help brands build campaigns using the latest mobile technology, including coupons, location-based targeting, click-to-call and even basic banner ads. Members of Nokia’s alliance are part of the Nokia Media Network allowing brands to plan, launch and measure a mobile advertising campaign through one interface. Companies that are already part of the alliance include: i-movo, Mobile Acuity, Mobiqa, and uLocate with others on the way. Release.
