A while back, I did a post on sites that provide free online tutorials for many of the applications that web workers use, or may want to use. Recently, I’ve come across a site for tutorials that really impresses me. Not all of the content there is free, but a lot of it is, and the fee-based tutorials are reasonably priced. It’s worth looking into VTC for tutorials on almost any application you’re interested in.

VTC offers over 66,000 video tutorials, and more than 12,500 of them are free. You can access as much of the content as you want for $30 a month–a reasonable price given the quality of the content. The tutorials are for every level of user.
If you take a gander down the left rail of VTC’s site, you’ll see general categories for software application tutorials, raning from Internet and Web Design to Networking and Security. Many of the tutorials are far more in-depth than the stripped down ones you typically find on the web. For example, VTC’s tutorial on QuickBooks 2008 is seven hours long and contains 83 individual lessons. Its tutorial for Dreamweaver is 10 hours long and has 125 individual lessons.
What are some other tutorials at VTC’s site that might interest web workers? There is one on JavaScript, Apache Web Server, and an Introduction to Wikis among many others.
VTC is also looking for authors of its tutorial content. If you have great chops at a particular applicaton, you can apply here.
