My Team Zone, a social networking service for amateur sports teams, has raised a $2.3 million first round from unidentified investors, according to VentureBeat. Basically, the company makes online software to make managing sports teams and leagues easier — scheduling games, team communications (including text messages) and calendars for tasks like which parent brings the orange slices and Capri Suns to practice.
