Wishing you could free your notebook from its wired USB connections? If you plan to buy a Fujitsu later this year, you might get your wish. Realtek announced that they’ll be supplying a key component that will bring wireless USB capabilities to Fujitsu notebooks before the end of this year. The ultra-wideband tech should alleviate the some worry about how many USB ports a PC has since you can theoretically connect up to 127 wireless devices to a single host. We’ll still need wired USB ports for a long time to come, (especially with the prices of UWB products) but I suspect we’ll see plenty of wireless USB peripherials at CES come January, 2009. Anyone think we’ll see a P1630 with this tech before year’s end?
