Surf Canyon, a maker of a browser plug-in for better search results, has raised $600,000 in seed money from unspecified investors. The service can refine a normal search results page, helping users discover relevant info based on their own needs. The Oakland, CA-based company is helmed by Mark Cramer, formerly at shopping search site NexTag. Release.
