Industry Moves: MTVN; WBTVG; Playboy; Vivox


MTVN: Nancy Bennett is being upped from VP-creative and multi-platform short form original content at MTVN (NYSE: VIA), to the post of SVP-creative and content development for program enterprises at MTV Networks and Logo Group, TVWeek reports. In addition to her former role, she also worked on the team that launched Logo, the Viacom unit’s gay and lesbian channel.

WBTVG: Peter Wright joins to head up digital sales efforts. Wright, most recently VP of ad sales and business development at social net, will take on the new title of SVP & general sales manager, digital media sales. The 20-year media vet has held posts at Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) and the Chicago Tribune. Release.

Playboy: Dan Smith has been tapped as SVP-marketing, for Playboy’s (NYSE: PLA) digital media group, a new post at the company, according to Adweek. Smith, who previously worked on Encyclopedia Britannica’s digital marketing, will oversee Playboy’s digital branding and e-commerce business.

Vivox: Matthew Bellows joins as VP-consumer strategy, responsible for extending the reach of the company’s voice services into new games and virtual worlds. Bellows comes from Floodgate Entertainment, where he served as GM, and was co-founder of WGR Media, now owned by CNET (NSDQ: CNET). Release.
