Intrinsyc Software, a Vancouver, B.C.-based company that uses Windows Embedded CE to make software for mobile phones, said today it has acquired certain assets of Destinator Technologies for $8.5 million Canadian in cash and issue 11 million Intrinsyc shares. Pending approval of the purchase, Intrinsyc will takeover Destinator’s two development locations in Beijing, China and Herzliya, Israel. Destinator provides wireless software for global positioning system devices and navigation software for wireless handsets. Its customers include Motorola (NYSE: MOT), which it helped to develop navigation technologies for the MOTO Ming and MOTO ROKR E6. Destinator’s navigation software works with all major operating systems, such as Windows Embedded CE, Windows Mobile, Symbian and Linux operating systems.
