Douglas Edwards, the co-founder of Handmark, has been named CEO of uclick, a provider of digital content, including comics and games on the Web and mobile phone. Uclick is owned by Andrews McMeel Universal, a large publishing company. Edwards, who co-founded Handmark in 2000, was one of the the chief architects behind the creation of the company’s flagship mobile news and search service called Pocket Express, which launched in 2004. Edwards will join uclick on June 2.
