Social Net Experience Project Raises $3 Million First Round

Experience Project, a social network for connecting people with shared experiences, has raised a $3 million first round from D.E. Shaw Group’s venture capital unit. The company has also raised unspecified funding from Maples Investments and Baseline. The San Francisco-based company touts itself as a place to tell stories and connect with others that might not necessarily be your friends. Among the groupings it highlights: Zoloft takers, people with tattoos, and people who feel sorry for Britney Spears. CEO Armen Berjikly previously led FileDemon and music site Do Everything.
