Mozes, a company that lets bands interact with fans over mobile, has raised an $11.5 million second round from Maveron and return backers Norwest Venture Partners and North Bridge Venture Partners, according to peHUB, citing a regulatory filing. The company last raised $5 million early last year for a total raise of at least $16.5 million. The Palo Alto-based company targets bands and their labels, allowing them to distribute content via SMS, which can then be shared with friends. In February, Mozes announced the acquisition of Hurricane Interactive Promotions, which does concert promotion over mobile. Among the musicians it’s worked with: Nickelback, R. Kelly and Breaking Benjamin.
