Interactive Avenues’ Ad Network To Be Called Ad Magnet; More On Ad Networks

Well, it’s been a while since we last heard about the advertising network that Sequoia Capital funded Interactive Avenues was planning to launch: it will be called Ad Magnet, reports Alootechie. The domain Admagnet.com redirects to InteractiveAvenues.com. I searched around and it appears that Admagnet.com was, at some point in time, owned by Fullerton, Orange County USA based Marketing Point. The domain was therefore picked up in the secondary market. We also contacted Interactive Avenues CEO Ratish Nair, but he has declined comment.

Interactive Avenues is essentially an online marketing agency, funded by Sequoia Capital India. Last year, when we had reported on the funding, sources had informed of an online advertising network that the company was planning to launch, as well as a mobile marketing initiative. There are a few advertising networks operational in India – Adwinks from Ibibo, Adchakra from Percept Knorigin, Ozone Media, Tyroo from Smile Interactive, Komli, Paypod, as well as the Microsoft platform, among others….and we’ve heard of more that are in the works.

I’d recommend that readers take a look at the Rubicon Project report on Ad Networks. Also read this story at paidContent about why publisher ESPN (NYSE: DIS) pulled the plug on Ad Networks.
