Though we’re web workers, most of us aren’t entirely free of shipping things around. Even if it’s just contracts or DVDs, there are plenty of reasons for web workers to reach out to a delivery service. Fortunately, there are some tools to make this easier, including:
- Shiptool, which can simultaneously figure what it would cost you to send a package by DHL, FedEx, UPS, or USPS, so you can pick the lowest rate.
- Delivery Status, an OS X dashboard widget to track your packages and notify you via Growl when their status changes.
- Package Tracking, which will plot the progress of your shipments on a Google map.
- Google itself: search on the tracking number from any of the major delivery services to get a link to their online tracking page.
Any other suggestions for tools to make shipping easier?
