MS To Expand Live Mesh To Macs, What About Symbian?

Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) has garnered a bit of attention with Live Mesh, designed to connect a person’s different devices (mainly PC and mobile phones but also game consoles, music players etc)…”Files and folders, such as documents, music and photos, on those devices can be synchronized online and accessed via a web browser” writes the BBC. “We aspire to bring together Windows, Windows Live, and Windows Mobile by creating seamless experiences that span these offerings,” Ray Ozzie, Microsoft’s chief software architect, wrote in a memo to staff this week.” The service just works on Windows at the moment, but Microsoft said it planned to expand it to work on Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) computers. What isn’t clear is whether it will expand the support to high-end phones that don’t run Windows Mobile — there are far more people using non-Windows Mobile devices than using Macs.
