Motorola Ventures has made an equity investment in VirtualLogix; no amount disclosed. VirtualLogix makes virtualization systems for communication devices, which Motorola (NYSE: MOT) sees as a solution to the complex problem of allowing dynamic mobile experiences across multiple platforms. Motorola Ventures expects its investment to accelerate the delivery of VirtualLogix’s technology — no mention is made of Motorola getting exclusive access or anything like that. VirtualLogix has previously raised $28 million in two rounds of funding from Atlas Venture, Cisco Systems (NSDQ: CSCO), DFJ Esprit, Index Ventures, Intel (NSDQ: INTC) Capital and Texas Instruments.
