Gamer Mobile Digital Media Raises $2 Million In Recapitalization

Milpitas, Calif.-based Mobile Digital Media, a maker of software to develop mobile games, has raised $2 million from Cross Atlantic Partners and Sofinnova Partners, according to VentureWire, via VentureBeat. The funding is described as a recapitalization — a refresh for a company had run out of cash, meaning dilution for the previous equity holders. Mobile Digital Media’s history is one of those follow-the-bouncing-ball situations: Back in 2005, it was acquired by Infraworlds, which also acquired 99Soft, before changing its name to Filao. Eventually it changed its name back to Mobile Digital Media.
