BT (NYSE: BT) has tapped former BBC policy adviser Simon Milner to take the newly created post of head of media and convergence policy. The Guardian reports that his appointment comes at a time when BT is offering more media-based products, such as its internet TV product BT Vision, and increasingly finds itself pulled into regulatory spats about converged services. Last year, it clubbed together with Setanta, Top Up TV and Virgin Media (NSDQ: VMED) to ask Ofcom to investigate the UK pay-TV market, which it says Sky had unfair control over.
