Answers Corp. (NSDQ: ANSW), which recently abandoned its attempt to acquire Lexico, has announced Q4 revenue of $2.9 million, a 19 percent year-over-year increase from $2.5 million. Net losses narrowed to $617,000 from $989,000 a year ago. Top line growth came via a 22 percent increase to at the core Answers.com site to $2.3 million and a spike of 130 percent to $704,000 at the company’s new WikiAnswers site. The brief mention of Lexico attributed the failure to close the deal on market conditions. For the coming quarter, Answers Corp. is again predicting losses, although for the full year 2008, it expects an adjusted profit, when factoring out non-cash expenses and costs associated with terminating Lexico.
