San Francisco, CA-based YieldBuild, which helps publishers optimize the performance of their ads, has raised a $6 million second round led by Storm Ventures, with participation from previous backer Hummer Winblad. The company previously raised $2 million, according to VentureBeat, bringing the total raise to $8 million. The company helps determine things like ad placement and formatting for Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Adsense. It argues that companies need to constantly be tweaking the placement and look of their ads, to avoid ad blindness. To do this, it offers a layer of code that sits between the ad network and the publisher, automatically making changes. The company is affiliated with Hubpages, which lets users publish pages on topic where they have expertise. Release.
