Industry Moves: Michael Nash Will Head Digital For WMG

The official word is out that Alex Zubillaga will be leaving as the head of digital strategy for Warner Music Group (NYSE: WMG) and, with it, confirmation that Michael Nash, his deputy, will be promoted to EVP-digital strategy and business development. Nash will be responsible for the company’s digital strategy and business development activity, including efforts driving Internet and mobile commerce, and new music-based products and services; he’ll report to chairman and CEO Edgar Bronfman, Jr. The change takes place June 1.

Nash’s stint as SVP-digital strategy and business development pre-dated the Bronfman era at WMG: he started Feb. 1, 2000.
