Chinese online gamer Giant Interactive (NYSE: GA) reported Q4 revenue of $59.6 million, up 151.8 percent from $23.6 million in the equivalent year-ago quarter. Net income soared to $45.7 million, from $7.3 million. The company said it ended the quarter with 1.4 million paying accounts, up 78.6 percent from last year and 6.6 percent on a sequential basis. In addition, average revenue per user (ARPU) was up 40.5 percent. Giant currently offers three online games, with two more planned for this year, including a sports-themed one, which it hopes will benefit from the Olympics.
