We’re kicking off this event year with our second half-day seminar — on a topic we have been increasingly covering now: health content. We’ll present the Economics of Health Content Seminar in mid-Manhattan, on March 20th, at the lovely new TimesCenter. EconHealth is set against the backdrop of changing economics of the health content market as health information, news and research move online and mobile, and consumer-driven health care becomes a bigger phenomenon. Our specific focus will be the evolving business models for consumer health media companies, VC and M&A deals being done in the industry, the players in the industry, both big and small, and innovative services and disruptors in the space.
The format is simple: one keynote Q&A and two panels. We’re excited to announce that the keynote interview is with Steve Case, chairman and CEO of Revolution LLC, a co-founder of America Online and former chairman of AOL Time Warner (NYSE: TWX). Revolution is the parent company of Revolution Health, the ambitious multi-platform consumer-centric health network that launched last year. We’re also very pleased to welcome Chris Schroeder, CEO and president of The HealthCentral Network, who was among the first to sign on (the company just got $50 million in funding from IAC (NSDQ: IACI), Sequoia, Carlyle and Polaris).
To provide a more intimate discussion environment, EconHealth will have a lower ticket cap than our usual conference and mixers, Tickets will go on sale next week, so watch this space. You can also fill out this form for advance notice.
