Vancouver-based iamota has just completed a seed round of $1 million in funding from investors and its management team. The company also announced mobile marketing veteran Mary Lou Hardy as its new EVP of marketing and business development, reporting to iamota founder and CEO Pete Smyth. Most recently, Hardy served as director of global marketing for AOL (NYSE: TWX) Mobile’s B2B division in Seattle, WA. The mobile application service provider (MASP) helps companies interact with and sell to mobile customers and provides a messaging and payment platform to over 243 million mobile consumers. Release.
