Earnings: WWE Digital Revenue Up 8 Percent; Group Revs Up 23 Percent

World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. announced Q4 revenue of $132.6 million, up 23 percent from the previous year’s quarter. Net income jumped 38 percent to $21.5 million ($.30 per share), from $15.5 million ($.22 per share). Digital Media revenue grew a modest 8 percent to $11.9 million. This number includes transactions at its WWEShop, which were flat. Actual media revenue, which includes its wireless and ad-supported content was $4.2 million, up 27 percent from the previous year’s figure. The income number solidly exceeded expectations, and the stock is up over 6 percent in today’s trading.
