San Jose-based MediaPhy, a chipmaker focusing on mobile TV, has raised $7 million from ATA Ventures and ARCH Venture Fund, reports VentureBeat. Also, according to VentureBeat, the company has raised more than $6 million previously, although none of its rounds have been publicly announced. The company says its chip can work in a variety of devices across multiple mobile TV standards. CEO Terry Leeder was previously at semiconductor firm Cirrus Logic.
