Oakland, CA-based Votigo, which helps companies run user-gen promotions, has raised a $1.26 million first round from Headwater Holdings and unidentified angel investors. The company has developed various types of user-gen offerings for companies such as Gibson guitars, Capitol Records and Gardenburger. Several of its promotions involve contests, such as ones inviting users to submit videos. CEO and co-founder Mike La Rotonda was previously at Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) 360. Release.
