Wireless inductive charging coming to MWg smartphones

Xda_atom_lifeIn these parts, the mid-year should bring us warmer weather, a new iSomething product and a Windows Mobile phone that charges without an wire attached to it. Gearlog says that MWg will offer a smartphone this summer that uses inductive re-juicing simply by laying the phone on a special pad. Now if they could only make one for my home office chair, I expect my daily post count would double.MWg currently has six Windows Mobile phones in their product pipeline; they’ll be partnering with Splashpower for the inductive charging solution. What are your thoughts on this recharging approach? I’m not completely sold on it because the charging pad still has to be plugged in, so the benefit appears minimal. I’m assuming that you can still charge the phone without the pad by using a cable because I wouldn’t want to carry the pad around…
