Before you throw out that old USB desktop keyboard, why not give it a chance to touch the mobile afterlife? Instructables shows the simple steps to take it apart and re-use pieces of it as a roll-up, membrane-like keyboard. It won’t exactly look pretty nor is it likely to keep up with your 90 wpm fingers, but it would work in a pinch and doesn’t take up too much room when in the circular Cinnabon position.Other than a old keyboard, you’ll just need a little patience, a screwdriver and some fasteners. Oh, and either a label-maker or a permanent marker combined with good handwriting too… you’ll need to label those little pressure points that serve as keyboard keys.(via Hackszine)
