YouTube is expanding its audience today, which is great since the T.V writer’s strike here in the U.S. has us watching yet another night of re-runs (for the umpteenth time, I might add). The web video portal announced a revamped mobile site at http://m.youtube.com and any phone capable of RTSP streaming should work for watching videos. Clearly, if you’re going to replace your television watching with YouTube, you’ll want some type of unlimited data plan. Hmm… that’s actually cheaper than my monthly satellite bill. The YouTube folks are also offering a beta J2ME application for specific phones: Sony Ericsson K800, W880 and the Nokia E65, N95, N73, 6110 Navigator and 6120 Classic can all get the application at the same URL as above. I just watched a cute little vid of Simon the dog break 74 balloons in 57 seconds. That ought to send a message to the striking writers!
