MixerCast, a company that provides social media marketing tools and services, has received $6 million in its second round led by Intel (NSDQ: INTC) Capital along with Onset Ventures and returning investor Velocity Interactive Group (the investment earlier was from ComVentures, which changed its name recently). The San Mateo, CA-based company had recently taken $4.25 million of a $5.57 million round also led by Intel Capital and ComVentures. MixerCast said its customers include Paramount and CBS (NYSE: CBS). It will soon launch its MCast Suite, offering publishers and marketers the tools to customize and package different types of media into a single embeddable application. Release.
