Sify announced its Q4 2007 earnings tonight, and its net income increased to $1.55 million, up from from $1.05 million in the year-ago quarter. Net income per ADR was $0.03, flat with last year. It had revenues of $ 38.38 million, about 8.7 percent higher than the year-ago period. It ended the quarter with a cash balance of $42 million after capital expenditure of $5.94 million during the quarter.
Raju Vegasna, the CEO, had this to say about its consumer business: “The restructuring of our consumer businesses into a single integrated platform for access and delivery of multiple content services including ecommerce, eLearning, entertainment and online games is underway, and will take approximately four to six months to complete. ”
Division wise, some stats:
— Revenues for Sify.com, which is included in its Interactive Services division, declined for the quarter to $1.40 million, down from $1.92 million in the year-ago quarter, though up a bit sequentially from the previous Q307 quarter.
— The number of its broadband access subscribers during 2007 didn’t move much and in fact went down from end of March 2007, when the figure was 216,000 to 215,000 by end of December 2007, with the figure fluctuating in between.
— The number of Sify iWay subscribes also went down drastically, and now stands at 773,000 for the three month ending December.
