SF-based Kadoink, a maker of widgets for bands, has raised a $7 million first round from Sutter Hill Ventures, reports VentureWire (via VentureBeat). The service, which counts Third Eye Blind and Death Cab For Cutie as users, lets fans sign up for information and songs delivered to a mobile device. There’s also social networking component, which allows users to send songs and messages about a band to their friends.. Also going after the music widgets space is Gydget, which raised funds in November.
