Newton, Mass.-based PeerApp, a provider of P2P infrastructure for ISPs, has raised $3 million from Pilot House Ventures, Evergreen and Cedar Fund, reports PE Hub (sub req’d). The company is targeting a key infrastructure issue: helping ISPs handle the load of P2P traffic. The company is also working in the area of P2P-based content delivery. In December, it announced a partnership with Pando Networks to offer services for P2P video delivery.
