Match.com: Dating site Match.com has promoted UK managing director Jason Stockwood to MD of international operations, he tells NMA. Stockwood joined the IAC (NSDQ: IACI) property last April after heading Travelocity’s business operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa for two years. He earlier had a senior position at Lastminute.com. Match.com is currently looking for acquisitions in the UK and Europe.

SMG: Scottish Media Group has hired former Scotsman.com head Alistair Brown as its head of new media. After eight years in charge of the Financial Times’ web development, Brown joined The Scotsman in 2000, taking charge of the Johnston Press title for the next six years before becoming general manager of The List Digital, the online arm of the arts listings mag for Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as doing online archive consultancy for national newspapers. At SMG, Brown is charged with commercialising STV.tv, The Guardian said.
