Industry Moves: Ferrell-Backed FunnyorDie Gets Nascar VP As New CEO

FunnyOrDie, the Will Ferrell-backed online comedy video site, has appointed a new CEO: Nascar VP Dick Glover, who marketed stock-car racing to Hollywood, is leaving to take the top job at the still-fledgling site, reports NYPost. This comes after the recent additional fund raise of $15 million from previous backer Sequoia Capital and others. Glover worked closely with Ferrell and his business partner, Adam McKay, on the 2006 stock-car comedy, “Talledega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.”
