Warner Bros. Motion Picture Imaging and Chennai based Prasad Corporation have formed an alliance for the digital restoration of Hollywood and Indian films, as well as the creation of digital intermediaries, reports ET. It largely appears to be an outsourcing deal: Prasad is already digitizing the film: How the West Was Won. Variety adds that Sony (NYSE: SNE) had acquired a majority stake in Chennai based FrameFlow earlier this year, which it will integrate into its Sony Pictures Imageworks unit.
