LA-based Juice Wireless, a provider of mobile social networking tools, has raised a $6 million third round led by previous backer 21Ventures. The maker of the JuiceCaster platform for sharing content has previously raised around $11 million in venture and strategic funding from 21Ventures, Qualcomm (NSDQ: QCOM) and Citizen’s Communication’s, bringing its total close to $17 million. Funding will go towards further development of JuiceCaster, which lets users create and consume content from their mobile phones. The company places an emphasis on mobile video, which can be captured and posted to social networking sites. Of course, there are numerous competitors looking to combine social networking, mobile and video in some manner. Release.
