Paris-based social net Bahu.com has raised an unspecified first round of funding from Lightspeed-Gemini Internet Lab. The site, which is targeting a pan-European audience, is geared towards students, with an emphasis on letting students create pages that showcase their talents. In particular, it’s looking for high school students interested in art, music and other forms of expression. It hopes to attract users by sponsoring talent contests, with prizes such as free recording time for musicians, etc. The site currently claims 300,000 members. Release.
