Busy times for Disney’s (NYSE: DIS) VC arm… Miami-based Scrapblog, the maker of an online scrapbook service, says that Steamboat Ventures has joined in its first round of funding. The company started the round earlier this year with an unspecified investment from Longworth Venture Partners, though it was reported at the time that Scrapblog was looking to raise $2.5 million. The service lets users create a multimedia scrapbook that can be turned into an embeddable widget. The service closely resembles other slideshow-based widgets (example) seen on blogs and social networking pages. Tumblr, which recently raised funds, also describes itself as an online scrapbook service, though it’s more of a lightweight blogging platform. Terms of the investment were undisclosed. Release.
